Membersfirst Breaks Ground on New Branch in Pooler, Georgia

MembersFirst Credit Union will begin construction on its second location in the Savannah area this Spring. The new branch location on Pooler Parkway will be less than a mile from the new Pooler Campus of St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital.

In speaking to a large crowd at the ground breaking ceremony, WB&T executives outlined the project’s implications for the bank’s future.

Located near the busy retail corridor in the rapidly growing Pooler Community, MembersFirst brings more quality banking and lending options to the residents of Chatham County and nearby Effingham and Bryan Counties. The new branch will be on the corner or Pooler Parkway and Pine Barren Rd.

The new 4100 SF office will feature drive-thru service lanes and a new 24-hour drive-up ATM that will also take deposits. The lobby will feature a Member Greeting Station to help direct members to the Member Advisor best able to assist them. There will be private offices to help with account and loan needs. An exciting feature is a secure, private Transaction Center with Video Teller Stations. These Video Teller Stations will function and look similar to the drive-thru stations but will be walk-up units inside the beautiful new lobby.

“Our new Pooler branch reflects our continued commitment to service in the Savannah area and will be a great addition to our midtown Savannah office, to help us better serve many of our members who live outside the city of Savannah or work in the surrounding communities.” said MembersFirst President/CEO Terry Hardy.

MembersFirst Credit Union partnered with Eclipse Brand Builders, a Georgia Consulting, Design and Construction firm which also designed buildings in the Savannah area for Georgia Heritage Credit Union and GeoVista Credit Union. Construction is expected to begin in March 2020, with an anticipated date of completion in October 2020.
