Fort Knox Federal Credit Union Breaks Ground on New Branch Office in Bowling Green, Kentucky
Fort Knox Federal Credit Union will build a new, free-standing branch to serve members in Warren and surrounding counties that will be located at 2345 Gary Farms Blvd. in Bowling Green, said Ray Springsteen, President and Chief Executive Officer, during groundbreaking ceremonies held yesterday at the construction site.
This will be the first brick-and-mortar facility for Fort Knox Federal in the Bowling Green area; however, the Credit Union is currently serving more than 1,000 members already living in western Kentucky. “Although this is an expansion of our branch operations, Fort Knox Federal has been serving members in this area for many years. We look forward to making our services more convenient for current members and adding many new members to our Fort Knox Federal family,” Springsteen said.
The new Bowling Green branch will feature full member service operations including mortgage and loan processing, free ATM services, drive-thru and in-branch teller service along with the latest in technology including online banking and self-service computer kiosks.
Eclipse Brand Builders is providing turnkey design-build services for the project, including architecture, engineering, interiors and construction management. Eclipse will also be the general contractors for the project, and will utilize local subcontractors to keep much of the economic benefit in the Bowling Green community. Construction, scheduled to begin later this year, should be completed by the spring of 2017.
The new facilities in Bowling Green are a part of Fort Knox Federal Credit Union’s continuing growth. With $1.3 billion in assets, Fort Knox Federal serves nearly 94,000 members and operates 16 other branches throughout central Kentucky. In addition to mortgage, auto and credit card lending, Fort Knox Federal has also added commercial lending to its services offering commercial real estate financing, loans for rental properties and business accounts.

Fort Knox Federal Credit Union selected Eclipse Brand Builders to plan their site, design the facility, and provide construction management services. Eclipse Brand Builders is located in Metro-Atlanta and specializes in bank, retail, and commercial facility consulting, design, and construction.
