Eclipse Celebrates Grand Opening of New Main Office With Commerce Bank in Corinth, Mississippi

Customers, employees, directors, and local officials gathered today to celebrate the opening of Commerce Bank’s new main office in Corinth, Mississippi. Located on the city block bordered by Taylor, Bunch, Webster, and Childs Streets, the bank’s new 17,215 square foot, two-story main office features an iconic clocktower and a balcony facing Taylor Street.

“This is a momentous occasion for Commerce Bank,” says Frank Davis, President, and CEO. “This new main office facility is a testament to our growth and our investment in the community.” The facility was designed to make a positive impact on customer experience and support long-term growth.

The bank’s exterior is designed to encompass the look of the buildings in the historic district featuring white columns and traditional red brick. “Our goal was for the facility to look as if it had been a part of the community for years,” says Davis.

Customer convenience was also a key driver for the bank during the design of the new facility, which includes expanded drive-through capabilities, with three lanes and an ATM, as well as access to four tellers, new accounts offices, lending offices, and safe deposit boxes in the new retail lobby.

The large interior space is more modern in style than the classic exterior. The lobby features an etched glass logo on the wall behind the teller line and a large waiting area in cool, muted tones along with an area for coffee service. The second floor serves administrative and back-office functions, including executive offices, meeting and training rooms, along with operations, IT, and compliance rooms.

Founded in late 1998, Commerce Bank is the only locally owned and managed bank in Corinth, Mississippi. Originally named Commerce National Bank, the organization began operations on South Cass Street with eleven full-time employees. Now Commerce Bank, the bank has more than doubled in size with twenty-nine full time-employees, more than $119 million in assets, and more than 50 stockholders.

Eclipse Brand Builders provided turnkey design-build services for the project, including architecture, engineering, interior design, and full-time on-site construction management. Eclipse executed the construction of the project using local sub-contractors and local suppliers for all labor and building materials through a competitive bid process, keeping construction dollars in the community.
