“We are very excited,” stated Cheryl Spires, the President/CEO of the credit union, “because we want to make our members’ experience more open and welcoming.”

“Members are first at the Credit Union,” explained Ms. Spires, “and for that reason, a second member services office has been opened to the lobby and an online kiosk that members can use to setup passwords or resolve account issues with the staff, has been added.” Additionally, the waiting area was revitalized and a new children’s area features a small video screen and books.

Since the founding of the Credit Union in 1955, they have taken an active role in the community. With this renovation, the leaders of the Credit Union are making an intentional statement to conserve, sustain, and grow the member’s financial resources, as well as the community’s natural resources. In that spirit, the new teller line features the use of reclaimed wood and many elements of the lobby design repeat the soft blues and many shades of greens of coastal Georgia.

Founded more than 60 years ago, the Credit Union offers membership to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Wayne County. The Credit Union is an active participant in the community and supports countless local school, civic and Chamber events in Long and Wayne counties.

Eclipse Brand Builders was selected to provide turnkey design-build services for the project, including architecture, engineering, interior design and full-time on-site construction management. Eclipse will execute the construction of the project using local sub-contractors and local suppliers for all labor and building materials through a competitive bid process, keeping construction dollars in the community.
