Wayne County Bank Celebrates Groundbreaking in Lawrenceburg, Tn for New Branch of Citizens Bank of Lawrence County
Citizens Bank of Lawrence County, a Branch of Wayne County Bank, celebrated the groundbreaking of a new branch office in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee today, which is planned to open in spring 2022.
The new 3,200-square-foot office will be located on the site of the former DriveSmartUSA on U.S. Highway 43 North in front of the Walmart Shopping Center. The full-service branch’s four-station teller line, multiple offices, waiting area, and other amenities allow for a welcoming environment while supporting more efficient operations.

Citizens Bank of Lawrence County’s new one-story branch, which is replacing the Crews Street location, will include a drive-up ATM and a three-lane drive-thru for added customer convenience. The team working on the design and construction project has approached this opportunity with intentionality to achieve a customer-first result, uniquely tailored to the local community, with no detail too small for consideration, as evidenced by the inclusion of a hitching post and water on the rear of the site for horses.
“The branch is a continuation of the same level of quality our customers have experienced for a century while making everyday life in the Lawrenceburg area more convenient for them,” Haggard, Jr. says. “When planning our new branch, we did so with our commitment to serve this area combined with our standard of banking services for every Wayne County Bank customer.”
