Energy One Federal Credit Union

Energy One Federal Credit Union is transforming a former Sonic site in Tulsa, OK into a modern, 2,300-square-foot branch designed to deliver both efficiency and a strong member experience. By repurposing the existing structure, the project blends adaptive reuse with strategic new construction—creating a cost-effective solution that aligns with Energy One’s growth while revitalizing an underutilized site.

Site improvements are designed to elevate both function and first impression, creating a smoother, more intentional arrival experience. Updated paving and curbing improve circulation, while refreshed landscaping softens the site and enhances curb appeal. The drive-thru is reimagined with a new remote ITM and canopy, and parking areas are upgraded with improved lighting and clearer organization—resulting in a cleaner, more cohesive exterior environment.

The exterior design builds on the existing structure while introducing a more refined and contemporary architectural identity. Much of the original brick is preserved and refreshed, serving as a foundation for new additions that incorporate EIFS cladding, manufactured stone accents, and defined entry elements. Storefront glazing and integrated awnings bring in natural light and create a more inviting presence, while the new low-slope standing seam metal roof ties everything together with a clean, unified profile.

Inside, the branch is designed with a modern palette of neutral tones complemented by calming blues, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Immediately beyond the entry vestibule, members are greeted by a thoughtfully positioned waiting area that sets the tone for a comfortable experience. Along the left side of the building, three private offices and a conference room provide dedicated spaces for consultation and collaboration. The teller line anchors the main banking area, with a workroom and wellness room located just behind it to support daily operations and employee well-being. This intentional layout, combined with an integrated teller and ITM approach, delivers a flexible, high-performing environment that evolves alongside member needs.
