Geovista Breaks Ground on New Branch in Richmond Hill, Georgia

GeoVista Credit Union broke ground today on a new branch office in Richmond Hill, marking the start of construction for the credit union’s eighth branch in the area.

Located within the Ford Overlay District at the corner of Ford Avenue and Magnolia Street, on the same site as an existing drive-thru ATM for the credit union, the design of GeoVista’s new branch office utilizes elements, colors and materials of the Antebellum “Plantation Plain” style to complement the architectural context and southern charm of historic Richmond Hill.

“Our new Richmond Hill branch reflects our continued commitment to provide the best experience in banking to residents and families in the area,” said GeoVista’s CEO, Elaine Tuten. “We exist to serve our community like an extended family, and are excited to see our family grow!”

Once open, the new branch office will replace an existing storefront branch office near downtown Richmond Hill to offer enhanced member services and expanded, full-service banking and lending options to the residents of Richmond Hill and Bryan County.

The interior of the 2,400 square foot branch will be bright and inviting, with high coffered ceilings, feature lighting with an antique flair, rich materials, including hardwood floors and custom stained millwork with leaded glass details, and warm colors to accent the credit union’s brand while honoring the historic traditions of the Ford Overlay District.

Functionally, the new facility will include a walk-up ATM and drive-thru services with three lanes and a night depository. The interior of the building includes a four-station teller line, two private offices for lending and new accounts services, a waiting area with coffee service, a technology station with Internet access, and an employee workroom, break room and restrooms.
