Community South Credit Union Opens New Branch in Defuniak Springs, Fl

Community South Credit Union’s members, directors, and employees gathered to celebrate the grand opening of their new 3,660 square foot, full-service branch office in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. The new branch is located at 775 US Highway 331 South, south of the Bruce Avenue intersection.

Established along Florida’s Panhandle almost 60 years ago, Community South was founded on the promise of “people helping people.” Since opening, that guiding principle has been apparent in everything they do. Currently, the Credit Union has $113 million in assets and over 10,000 members. Membership is available to those who reside in the following counties: Gadsden, Liberty, Calhoun, Holmes, Jackson, Bay, Okaloosa, Walton, and Washington Counties.

The new location is residential in style, with warm, inviting features such as a large front porch with rocking chairs, stacked stone, and white columns. The stacked stone continues inside the a-framed lobby, giving the interior a slightly rustic atmosphere. The cool colors and finishes took inspiration from nearby Lake DeFuniak. The new facility provides credit union members with easy access to four lobby teller stations, four offices for lending and new accounts, safe deposit boxes, three-full-service drive-up teller lanes, and a 24-hour ATM.
