Chairman/CEO & Partner

Gene’s leadership in the design/build industry has spanned 35+ years. During that time, he has overseen more than 650 facility programs of all types and sizes. His expert project knowledge is as broad as it is deep, with hands-on experience in architecture, programming, estimating, value engineering, project management, construction supervision and administration, quality control, spec writing, scheduling, interior design and warranty service.

Gene holds GC licenses in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, and has a degree in Architectural Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.


President & Partner

Chris contributes his vision, energy and 20+ years of architecture, interior design, construction, project management, operations, technology, marketing and business development experience to all facets of the business. He also works with clients by taking an active role in various consulting, design and program management activities and co-manages day-to-day business operations with the Chairman/CEO, Gene Lock.

Chris was formerly the Director of Operations and a senior consultant for Secretariat International of Atlanta, GA. His extensive experience includes commercial, retail, hospitality and multi-family design and construction projects, as well as project scheduling and cost consulting on international airports, refineries, power plants, mixed used developments, skyscrapers, roads and interchanges.

Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture and a minor in computer science from the University of Virginia.


Executive Vice President & Partner

Sharon is often the first person you meet at Eclipse. From day one, she is determined to learn about every aspect of your organization and your facility needs and objectives, usually starting with branding, marketing and site/location selection, to help ensure that the Eclipse team develops an optimum solution for your business.

Prior to entering the construction services market, Sharon owned her own successful retail business. After selling it to a national retail chain, she provided marketing and public relations consulting to public and private clients. Today, after 25+ years in the design/build industry managing relationships representing almost $150M in construction volume, she combines her knowledge of marketing, brand enhancement, site selection, and construction to help you understand your options and chart a path to success. During each step of your Eclipse experience, Sharon is there to be sure that your needs are met and that your expectations are surpassed!

Sharon earned both a Bachelors of Science and a Masters of Science degree from the University of Alabama’s School of Environmental Sciences. Sharon was also awarded the School of Environmental Sciences’ Jack Davis Professional Award in 1995.

Amy Blankenstein-Moog

Director of Architecture

Amy has a keen eye for creating spaces that are as functional as they are aesthetic, from the initial schematics of a project to the final design each detail is carefully decided on. She has earned knowledge of new-build designs, renovation work, and rehabilitation in her 20+ year career. By examining client needs and goals, she brings solutions to fruition with strong designs and cost efficiency. Beyond design, Amy’s experience extends into the coordination of civil, structural and MEP engineering, compliance of building codes, ADA codes, civic engineering, knowledge of standard construction methods and materials, and more.

Amy earned a Master of Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology and Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from North Carolina State University. Amy is certified by the National Council of Architecture Review Board and holds architecture licenses in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma.

Carsten Madsen

Director of Field Operations

Carsten brings over 30 years of construction supervision, project management, and estimating experience. His experience is varied and encompasses all types of commercial construction. He successfully meets the challenges of bidding, scheduling, and overseeing the construction of all types. Carsten is a proven leader and communicator ensuring that teams are synchronized in their knowledge, energy, focus, projections, and ideas to accomplish a goal. He collaborates with clients to make sure all goals are met and even the most complex renovations run smoothly. He has a history of on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project completions.

Leah Renaldo

Director of Retail & Interior Design

Leah is one of the premier designers in the financial facility industry. She has extensive knowledge in the delivery of space and environmental planning, retail branding, and turn-key interior design. Her 28 years of experience prepares her to listen to the goals and needs of every client, ascertain the program for each department and develop an environment that preserves their vision while solving all functional problems. Leah possesses a depth of knowledge in branding, furniture, finishes and custom millwork that enhance the architectural features of any space.

Leah holds a Bachelor of Science in Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Fine Arts of Interior Design from the American College of Applied Arts.
