Director of Project Management (Commercial Construction)

Are you looking for a long-term, stable opportunity to lead a commercial construction project management team with a small but growing, award-winning design-build firm, where your contributions will make a difference each day?

We are currently looking for a Director of Project Management who has a minimum of 20 years of project management experience to join us, working from our headquarters in Johns Creek, GA.  Qualified candidates will possess a strong track record of success managing commercial construction projects and project management teams, with strong management, organization, leadership, estimating, scheduling and on-the-job construction skills and knowledge.

This role is a tremendous opportunity to take on a leadership role in our firm. which will be involved in all facets of construction project management, including preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, establishing and maintaining subcontractor relationships, problem solving, and more.  Significant areas of responsibility will include managing and assisting with any/all of the following activities:

  • Conceptual estimating
  • Detailed quantity estimating and take-offs
  • Subcontractor bidding and buy-out, and contract negotiation and preparation
  • Construction start-up and close-outs
  • Job cost tracking and projections
  • Shop drawing and submittal review and approvals
  • Field project manager and superintendent coordination, scheduling, and communication (through Director of Construction Management)
  • Coordination and communication with internal design-build team members, including account managers, interior designers, architects, ect., as well as outside engineers
  • Handling and coordination of RFIs
  • Preparation and coordination of change orders (subcontractor and client)
  • Client meetings, communication, and presentations
  • Construction scheduling
  • Punch lists and project completion
  • Site visits with travel throughout the southeastern United States

To be considered for this position, the candidate must possess the following minimum experience, skill and abilities:

  • 20+ years of similar commercial construction project management experience required (similar in scope to what has been described above). Corporate, financial and retail experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Construction Science, Construction Management, or similar preferred
  • Extensive experience working on the computer with proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project, required. Knowledge of estimating software is a plus.

Senior Project Architect (Commercial Buildings & Renovations)

Our award-winning design team continues to grow! We are currently looking for a Senior Project Architect who has a minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in commercial architecture to join us!  This role is a tremendous career opportunity for an architect who wants to have an integral role at a smaller firm where they can directly impact all facets of the schematic, design development, construction document and construction administration phases of architecture.  Project activities will include:

  • Schematic design (hand drawing, AutoCAD/Revit, 3D modeling)
  • Design development drawings (AutoCAD/Revit)
  • Scopes of work (Word/Excel)
  • Construction drawings (AutoCAD/Revit)
  • Client meetings and presentations
  • Coordination of engineers (contract and work product)

Senior Interior Designer

We are currently looking to hire a commercial Senior Interior Designer who has a minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial interiors for retail, hospitality, financial institutions, and/or professional/corporate offices.

This role is a tremendous career opportunity for a designer who wants to have an integral role at a smaller firm where they can directly impact all facets of the interior design lifecycle, including space planning, interior architecture, finish selection, furniture specification (CET), construction documents (AutoCAD), custom millwork/cabinetry designs and details, and more.

Senior Construction General Superintendent (Travelling/On-Site)

Do you have what it takes to run a commercial construction job site as an experienced general superintendent, with a minimum of 20 years of proven experience? Are you also a leader who can communicate with clients and manage subcontractors to ensure we exceed our clients’ expectations for quality, schedule and budget? If this sounds like you, we want you on our team!

We are searching for an experienced Senior Construction General Superintendent who is capable of successfully executing all areas of our construction management program, including all job supervision and subcontractor coordination responsibilities, as well as coordinating work with the other field team personnel, preparing daily and monthly reporting, providing updates at owner meetings, etc. Candidates will possess a unique combination of leadership, people skills, and construction expertise, as well as a track record of success managing commercial construction projects.

This position is full-time and requires the candidate to live and work on-site for the duration of each project, and will provide a competitive employment package, including salary, performance project-related bonuses, truck allowance, weekly per diem for living expenses, excellent health benefits, 401(k), 3 weeks of time off (PTO) to start (4 weeks after 5 years and 8 to 10 holidays per year.

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following minimum experience, skills and abilities:

  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in field operations/construction management at the superintendent level.
  • Ability to travel and live on-site for the duration of each project.
  • A degree or certification in building construction or related field preferred.
  • Estimating and quantity take-off skills required.
  • Prior on-site construction project management experience in commercial projects required.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and scheduling skills, and a proven record of success managing projects through to completion.
  • Strong financial management skills including accurate budget forecasting and a demonstrated ability to produce results within projected time and budget limits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
  • Strong devotion to customer service and quality.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with a drive to deliver on all three pillars of construction success: quality, schedule and budget.
