On-Site Commercial Construction Project Manager or General Superintendent

Are you an experienced on-site superintendent or project manager with a minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience managing high quality commercial construction projects? Are you a hands-on superintendent at heart, who knows how to get the job done? Are you also a leader who can communicate with clients and manage subcontractors to ensure we exceed our clients' expectations for quality, schedule and budget? We have an immediate need for an experienced On-Site Commercial Project Manager or General Superintendent with 15 to 20 years of general superintendent and construction management experience who can travel and who is capable of successfully executing all areas of construction management, including on-site job supervision and subcontractor coordination, daily and monthly reporting, and client meetings and communications. Candidates must possess a unique combination of leadership, people skills, and construction expertise, as well as a track record of success managing commercial construction projects. To be considered for the On-Site Commercial Construction Project Manager or General Superintendent position, candidates must possess the following minimum experience, skills and abilities:

  • EXPERIENCE: 15 to 20 years of on-site commercial construction management experience required (preferably as general superintendent or project manager).
  • EDUCATION: A degree or certification in building construction or related field is preferred.
  • TRAVEL: Ability to travel and live on-site for the duration of each project.
  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment interacting with clients, vendors/suppliers, subcontractors, inspectors, and team members at all levels.
  • ORGANIZATION SKILLS: Exceptional organization, time management and scheduling skills, and a proven record of success managing projects through to completion (within projected time and budget constraints).
  • MANAGING TRADES: Capable of managing multiple trades simultaneously to ensure construction is completed per plans and specs, and in compliance with all codes and regulations.
  • PROJECT DOCUMENTATION: Strong project documentation skills, including daily logs, weekly reports, daily pictures, project scheduling (using Microsoft Project), safety meetings, etc.
  • SAFETY: Strong understanding and knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, as well as all general jobsite safety rules and requirements.
  • MATERIALS/METHODS: Strong construction materials and methods knowledge.
  • COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Project.
  • QUALITY & SERVICE: Must be quality minded, self-motivated and dedicated to customer service and long-term client satisfaction.

Commercial Construction Project Manager (Main Office)

We have an immediate need for a Commercial Construction Project Manager with 10 to 20 years of commercial construction/project management experience to help our in-house construction team manage construction on multiple projects working from our office in Johns Creek, Georgia. Candidates must possess a unique combination of leadership, people skills, and construction expertise, as well as a track record of success managing commercial construction projects, including strong pre-construction and estimating skills and experience. This role is a tremendous opportunity to advance within our firm, in all facets of construction responsibilities, and will be responsible for significant project activities including but not limited to:

  • Preconstruction activities, including subcontractor bidding and buy-out, and contract negotiation and preparation, and scheduling
  • Conceptual estimating and detailed quantity estimating and take-offs
  • Construction start-up and close-outs
  • Job cost tracking and projections
  • Shop drawing and submittal review and approvals
  • Field project manager and superintendent coordination, scheduling, and communication
  • Coordination and communication with internal design-build team members, including account managers, interior designers, architects, etc., as well as outside engineers
  • Handling and coordination of RFIs
  • Preparation and coordination of change orders (subcontractor and client)
  • Client meetings, communication, and presentations
  • Construction scheduling
  • Punch lists and project completion follow-up
  • Occasional site visits with travel throughout the southeastern United States

To be considered for the Commercial Construction Project Manager position, candidates must possess the following minimum experience, skills and abilities:

  • 10 to 20 years of similar commercial construction project experience required (similar in scope to what has been described above), including actual field construction experience. Corporate, financial and retail experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Construction Science, Construction Management, or similar preferred
  • Minimal travel (est. 5% to 15%)
  • Strong construction materials and methods knowledge
  • Strong financial management skills including accurate budget forecasting and a demonstrated ability to produce results within projected time and budget limits
  • Proven ability to understand construction documents (drawings, specifications, and industry standard documentation)
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
  • Jobsite safety rules and requirements
  • Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, and interact well with senior management, external client organizations, vendors, contractors/subcontractors, and field project managers and superintendents
  • Excellent leadership, oral communication, written communication, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be quality minded, self-motivated and dedicated to customer service
  • Extensive experience working on the computer with proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project, required. Knowledge of estimating software a plus.

Interior Designer

Are you a creative, yet detail-oriented interior designer with 8 to 10 years of commercial experience looking for an opportunity to make a big impact in a smaller firm, where you get to grow your practices in all areas of commercial interior design?

We are looking for a commercial Interior Designer to join our growing team! This exciting position offers excellent professional growth opportunities and requires a dynamic and personable candidate with excellent communication and inter-personal skills, and a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience designing commercial interiors for retail, hospitality, banks, credit unions, and professional/corporate offices.

Candidates must have the ability to execute all phases of the design lifecycle, including design development, construction documents (AutoCAD), millwork drawings and details and furniture specification.

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following minimum experience, skills and abilities:

  • A minimum of 8 years of commercial interior design experience required. Corporate, financial and retail experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design required. NCIDQ preferred.
  • Proven ability to produce complete and precise millwork drawings for fabrication (AutoCAD) of high-end commercial furniture and fixtures.
  • Mastery of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and be able to juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations, vendors and construction managers.
  • Must be quality minded, self-motivated and dedicated to customer service.
  • Proficiency in the basic technical skills of interior design including the following computer skills: 1) Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook; 2) Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop required. Revit a plus; and 3) Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software.
