Junior Commercial Interior Designer

We are looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join our studio who is dynamic and personable, and possesses excellent communication and inter-personal skills, an interest and willingness to learn any and all aspects of commercial interior design, and a minimum of 5 years of experience designing commercial interiors for retail, hospitality, banks, credit unions, professional/corporate offices, medical and/or dental offices.

This position will be responsible for assisting our interior design team with all areas of commercial interior design, including: drafting and CAD design; selection and specification of finishes, feature lighting and furniture; custom signage and graphics design; custom cabinetry and millwork design; vendor and product updates and information; and more.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should possess the following minimum experience, skills and abilities:

  • A minimum of 5 years of commercial interior design experience required. Corporate, financial and retail experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field required.
  • Must be quality minded, self-motivated, dedicated to customer service, team oriented and willing to learn any/all aspects of commercial interior design.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and be able to juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as design presentation experience required.
  • Experience in commercial finishes and furniture selections/specifications a plus.
  • Drafting experience (AutoCAD) required.
  • Experience designing and producing millwork drawings for fabrication of high-end commercial furniture and/or fixtures a plus.
  • Proficiency in the basic technical skills of interior design including the following computer skills: : 1) MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook; 2) AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop required. Revit or Sketchup a plus; and 3) Photoshop and/or Illustrator.

Commercial Construction Project Manager and Estimator

Our construction team is growing, and currently seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 15 to 20 years of estimating experience to join our team to help manage multiple projects throughout the Southeast from our office in Johns Creek, Georgia. Candidates will possess a unique combination of leadership, organizational, communication and people skills, and construction expertise, as well as a track record of success managing commercial construction projects. This role is a tremendous opportunity to advance within our firm, as it will support the CEO in all facets of construction management and estimating, and will be responsible for significant project activities including, but not limited to:

  • Conceptual estimating
  • Detailed quantity estimating and take-offs
  • Subcontractor bidding and buy-out, and contract negotiation and preparation
  • Construction start-up and close-outs
  • Job cost tracking and projections
  • Shop drawing and submittal review and approvals
  • Field personnel coordination, scheduling, and communication
  • Coordination and communication with internal design-build team members, including account managers, interior designers, architects, etc., as well as outside engineers
  • Responding to RFIs
  • Preparation and coordination of change orders (subcontractor and owner)
  • Client meetings, communication, and presentations
  • Construction scheduling
  • Punch lists and project completion follow-up
  • Site visits with travel throughout the southeastern United States
  • Managing and monitoring daily jobsite construction administration activities and responsibilities

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following minimum experience, skills and abilities:

  • At least 15 to 20 years of similar commercial construction project experience required (similar in scope to what has been described above), including actual field construction experience. Corporate, financial and retail experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Construction Science, Construction Management, or similar preferred
  • Strong construction materials and methods knowledge
  • Strong financial management skills including accurate budget forecasting and a demonstrated ability to produce results within projected time and budget limits
  • Proven ability to understand construction documents (drawings, specifications, and industry standard documentation)
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
  • Jobsite safety rules and requirements
  • Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, and interact well with senior management, external client organizations, vendors, contractors/subcontractors, and field project managers and superintendents

Senior Construction Superintendents / Project Managers

Are you an experienced on-site project manager with 15 to 20 years of experience leading and managing high quality commercial construction projects? Are you a hands-on superintendent at heart, who doesn't mind getting dirty? Are you also a leader who can communicate with clients and manage subcontractors to ensure we exceed our clients' expectations for quality, schedule and budget? If this sounds like you, we want you on our team!

We are seeking experienced on-site construction professionals with superintendent and project management experience who are capable of successfully executing all areas of our construction management program, including all subcontractor bidding and contract management, job supervision and subcontractor coordination, job cost projections, daily and monthly reporting and owner meetings and communications. Candidates will possess a unique combination of leadership, people skills, and construction expertise, as well as a track record of success managing commercial construction projects.

This position is full-time and requires the candidate to live and work on-site for the duration of each project.

Sales Executive / Regional Vice President (Birmingham, AL)

Are you an experienced outside business-to-business sales executive with proven success selling professional services to business owners and c-level executives? We are looking for an experienced sales executive with a strong track record of success executing the complete lifecycle of sales, including cultivating leads, cold calling, presenting products and services, closing sales, account management and client retention. This position is full-time and commission-based, and will be responsible for leading our firm's business development efforts in Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee from the candidate's home office, preferably located in or near Birmingham, Alabama. 40% to 75% travel is required.

Branding & Marketing Assistant

We are searching for a Branding & Marketing Assistant to join our growing team, and help with in-house and client focused branding and marketing efforts, including:

  • Social media, direct mail, and email marketing campaigns;
  • Graphic design for advertisements, websites, custom signage and wall graphics, logos, and more;
  • Updating and writing copy for press releases, website information, sales collateral, advertisements and sales presentations;
  • Coordination and scheduling of tradeshows and exhibit opportunities, as well as occasional attendance at tradeshows/exhibits/events;
  • Coordination of client entertainment and gifts;
  • Assistance with client groundbreakings and grand openings, and related announcements; and
  • Coordination of architectural photography, and attendance at photo shoots.

This position is full-time and will be located in our Suwanee, GA headquarters (Johns Creek area). 5% to 10% travel is required.

  • A 4-year degree is required, preferably in communications, marketing, journalism, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experience marketing commercial architecture, interior design, and/or construction-related services a plus.
