Members United Credit Union Breaks Ground on New Branch Office in Lee County, Georgia
Employees and directors of Members United Credit Union will be joined by local officials and credit union members to celebrate the ground breaking of the credit union’s new branch office located at 1150 US Highway 19 South in Lee County, Georgia, north of the Publix shopping center on US 19 South on Wednesday, March 7th at 2:00pm.
“We are thrilled to be providing more convenient access to the credit union’s existing and future members in Lee County,” said Liz Gilmore, the credit union’s CEO. “Plans for this branch have been in the works for a long time, and we are excited to be breaking ground today to enhance the lives of our members in the future.”
The 2,502 square foot contemporary facility incorporates the credit union’s unique branding elements and colors into an eye-catching design, which includes a tower entrance, low maintenance building materials and a standing seam metal roof in the credit union’s logo red. The modern lobby includes three lobby teller stations, an inviting waiting area with television and coffee service, an Internet banking kiosk, two dedicated member service offices, and a meeting room. Members will also have access to the credit union’s services through two full-service drive-up teller lanes and a 24-hour ATM and night depository for added member convenience.
Founded in 1933, the Credit Union offers membership to anyone who lives in Dougherty, Muscogee, or Lee Counties, as well as anyone who works for or is retired from any one of a number of Select Employee Groups in the area. According to Ms. Gilmore, “Our vision is to better serve our members and to expand our not-for-profit, personal financial services to others within our communities.”
Eclipse Brand Builders was selected to provide turnkey design-build services for the project, including architecture, engineering, interior design and full-time on-site construction management. Eclipse will execute the construction of the project using local sub-contractors and local suppliers for all labor and building materials through a competitive bid process, keeping construction dollars in the community.
